The Sky

the sky

Beneath the open expanse of sky,

I find myself yearning, asking why.

In the shroud of night, so deep and dark,

The moon’s brilliance leaves its mark.

The roads bustling, a city’s heartbeat,

People passing, their stories discreet.

The lights aglow, a comforting sight,

Yet I navigate in the cover of night.

In this quiet moment, I confide,

To anyone special, I’d confide.

Whispers to the stars, secrets I’d share,

In this world of wonder, none would be aware.
